On October 26, 2001, President George W. Bush, signed the USA Patriot Act into law.
The purpose of this law is to help protect you, your family and our country from terrorism by preventing terrorist financing. We want you to know that section 326 of this Act requires our credit union to verify the identity of all credit union members. We must also verify the identity of all individuals added as signatories to and/or having access to new or existing deposit accounts and loans. We are required to retain copies of documents used to verify identity.
If you are a member who joined the credit union before the USA Patriot Act rules became effective, we may also need to verify and retain copies of any documents used to verify your identity when you request a new deposit account, apply for a loan or are added as a signatory to a new or existing deposit or loan account or if we determine verification is needed.
We ask for your understanding as we work to support these efforts to maintain the security of your funds and our country.

Please exercise both caution and diligence when using your CFCU Debit Card, it is a direct link to your checking account. Be aware that those that you hand it to may try to steal your account information, never allow someone to hold it outside of your presence even for a moment. Do not attempt to use it at gas pumps or other highly vulnerable areas where thieves can easily compromise your security. Together we can keep your account(s) safe.
